SHEFFIELD-What was once a social hot spot for the city of Sheffield has now been demolished as the lot is being re-surfaced to sell.
The bowling alley that once housed the three monkeys in the sign/cage on the Southwest corner of the lot is now a memory for most of the citizens of Sheffield.
TVA leased the building for years. It was vacated in 1983.
Hats off to the Darby family for the aesthetic work they are doing to this and many of their abandoned properties.
