The Shoals area was not excluded from the viewing path of the 2024 eclipse as many gathered outside making memories for years to come. Referred to as “Syzygy” where the sun, moon and earth temporarily align was truly an amazing sight to see.
Alabama and the remaining 47 lower states will have to wait 21 years (August 12, 2045), for the next solar eclipse in totality as the eclipse on August 22,2044, will only be visible to those in Northern Canada, North Dakota and Montana.
